The primary objective of Human Resource Management is to ensure the availability of a competent and willing workforce to an organisation. These objectives are influenced by Social, organisational functional and individual objectives.

The Role of the Personnel Manager

The objectives of HRM are as follows:

(i) To create and utilize an able and motivated workforce, to accomplish basic organisational goals.

(ii) To establish and maintain sound organisational structure and desirable working relationships among all the members of the organisation.

(iii) To secure the integration of individual groups within the organisation by co-ordination of the individual and group goals with those of the organisation.

(iv) To create facilities and opportunities for individuals.
